While the final flakes of snow are melting, the Windsor Racing team and driver Chad Windsor are ramping up for a busy 2012 season. The upcoming season will see the former Capital City Speedway Legend car track champion crisscross Eastern Canada and the North East United States in search of checkered flags and a championship in one of Canada’s biggest Legend touring series. Windsor, from Greely, Ontario, will focus on his second full-time campaign on the Maritime League of Legends Tour in 2012. The Tour has scaled back their schedule to seven races at four race tracks, but that doesn’t mean the competition is going to back down. “I’ll be teaming up with Scott MacLean and MacLean Motorsports for the Maritime League of Legends Tour this season,” said Windsor of the upcoming summer. “After coming so close to the championship last year, I feel like we can be a contender each and every week.” The season will not stop there for Windsor though. “Our year will start on April 21st in Evan Mills, New York,” announced Windsor. “We’re hoping to make it down there as much as our schedule allows this season. Our season in Ottawa (Capital City Speedway) will be very limited. We are also planning on making trips to Mosport, Peterborough and Kawartha if time allows this season. The second car in our shop is near completion and we have a complete rolling chassis as a spare ready to go for the local season. It should be an exciting season; the only championship we will be running for is the Maritime Tour. All the other races we run we will have one goal going in: and that’s winning!” With his upcoming season that will span at least four provinces and one state, sponsors are very important to get to the race track each week. “With flights to the east coast for seven of those races, the expense bill quickly adds up,” explained Windsor. “We’re looking for a few good partners to cover some of those costs along with the costs of running the car on race day.” Interested parties can contact Windsor through his website at ChadWindsor.com, which will be getting a facelift prior to the first Maritime League of Legends Tour race in May. 2012 Schedule - Subject to
Change Without Notice About Chad Windsor: WINDSOR WRAPS UP SUCCESSFUL SEASON ON EAST COAST (Wednesday, October 26th, 2011) – Chad Windsor wrapped up his 2011 season on a wave of momentum. The 2010 Capital City Speedway champion had his focus on the Maritime League of Legends Tour championship at the end of the season, which resulted in three top two finishes in the final four races of the season. Out of that trio of podium finishes, two of those were wins at a pair of the biggest races of the season at Petty International Raceway (NB) and Scotia Speedworld (NS). Windsor’s successful season came to a close on October 10th at Atlantic Motorsports Park (AMP) in Shuebencadie, Nova Scotia where he came home with a second place finish on the only road course event of the 2011 campaign. “The race at AMP was a challenge,” commented Windsor on the final race of the season. “Not only was it challenging for me, but for us as a team to setup the car because it’s so different from an oval. Scott MacLean and MacLean Motorsports did a fantastic job on setting up the car, it was fast right off the trailer. The heat race went well and we had a strong second place run in the feature. It was a great way to cap off the year.” “Overall, we had a great season on the Tour,” said Windsor looking back on the summer. “We had some highs and lows but all in all we were where we needed to be each and every week. It was a blast racing in Atlantic Canada. The learning curve was steep with racing three new tracks this season. Getting a win at Scotia was hard fought. We can close so many times, then to go back and win during their season finale was huge. We had a car that could win each week and we ran up front, but some bad luck at the wrong times made it hard to bounce back to get the championship.” Next May seems like an eternity away, but the team is already planning for 2012. “If we can get some sponsors to pull through for us, you better believe we’ll be back again and running for the Maritime title. If it wasn’t for the sponsors of Windsor Racing and the supporters of MacLean Motorsports, this deal would never have happened this year. A big thank you goes out to Scott MacLean for all his hard work and letting me wheel his cars to a very respectable finish in the championship hunt in my first full season.” Supporters of Chad Windsor

WINDSOR GOES BACK TO BACK ON MARITIME LEAGUE OF LEGENDS TOUR, WINS AT SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD.
WINDSOR CAPTURES LEGENDS FEATURE ON INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND Chad Windsor (Ottawa, Ontario) brought home his first checkered flag of the Maritime League of Legends Tour (MLoLT) this past Saturday night at Petty International Raceway, outside of Moncton, New Brunswick. Windsor, driving the #61 Maritime Auto Supply, Richard Jameison Construction Legend car took the lead early in the event and had a classic battle with Scotia Speedworld Coco Beach Legend car point leader Dylan Blenkhorn for the victory. The battle was a continuation of the one they started the last time the MLoLT was at Petty International Raceway on July 16th. “We’ve come close so many this season to a win, so to get this one is special,” said Windsor after the 50-lap race. “To battle Dylan for the win here was only fitting after the last time we raced here. The team worked hard to get the car dialed in and it paid off for us. This is a big weekend at Petty with the River Glade International going on and I’m excited to have been able to race in front of a crowd like this.”
Scott MacLean, owner of MacLean Motorsports was also ecstatic to get the first win of the season in the bag. “It’s great to get the monkey off our back and get a win on the Tour this summer. Chad has run fantastic all season long and we hope this will give us the momentum we need to chase down the championship!” When asked about his championship chances with three races to go, Windsor is confident in his ability at the final two tracks. “We have some work to do at Scotia (Speedworld) but the last race there was huge step in the right direction. We’ve run well at Riverside (International Speedway) but I think Atlantic Motorsports Park will be big for us. I’ve done some laps recently at Calabogie up home and I’m excited to hit the track at AMP in October!” The #61 Ace in The Hole Septic, MacLean Motorsports car driven by Windsor sits fourth in the MLoLT point standings after the race at Petty International Raceway, just 17 points out of the leader Steve Pye. Dylan Blenkhorn’s father and 2010 champion Paul Blenkhorn is second in points with his son nipping at his bumper. Windsor sits just two points out of third and has a six point cushion on Darren Sherwood. The next race for the Maritime League of Legends Tour is Saturday, September 10th at Scotia Speedworld. The 50-lap race will serve as the undercard for the Dartmouth Dodge 200, the season finale for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. Racing gets underway at 4pm. Advanced tickets for the race can be purchased through TicketAtlantic.com or at one of 27 Atlantic Superstore locations throughout Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. more to follow when results become official. WINDSOR WINS AT CAPITAL CITY (JUNE 15th, 2011) The first feature win of the 2011 season for Ottawa's Chad Windsor came this past Wednesday at Capital City Speedway. Windsor and his #5 '37 Chevrolet Coupe finished fifth in the second heat of the evening, which ended up being the only blemish on the evening. Windsor would capture the first heat race of the night before winning the main event - a night which should help him fourth place point standing coming into the event! Though Windsor was excited to take his first checkered flag of the season, he knows there is some work to be done to his race car. "Even though we won tonight, we still have to do some fine tuning on the setup to to get the car better," commented Windsor following the event. This could be bad news for his competition as the season is only just beginning at his home track. The next event for Windsor Racing is Wednesday, June 22nd.
